Comments Your mom May 28, 2016 at 8:55 am i found this recipe, and was really excited to make it. The picture looks just like the ones at Starbucks. Although as I was making the recipe the dough was just really wet. I added a 1/4 of flour thinking I added too little of the amount of flour. The consistency didn't change at all so I put it in a baking dish and baked it. Once it was done baking I cut it into triangles. I am very disappointed in the recipe, because the scones were dry, flavorless, and somehow wayyy to savory for my friends and family. I would have given this recipe another chance but I disliked it so much I did not. 43.6K SHARES REPLY f lamBaker January 31, 2019 at 10:15 am Perhaps the texture was off because you didn't follow the directions. You don't put scone dough in a dish and bake it and then cut it into triangles. WIth all the other glowing reviews, I'm betting your technique was the issue. Mine were perfect! REPLY P
