Mods don't have any more power over the workings of the site than regular users do.

>also, tags, shouldn't, have, to, be, mandatory
They should though. KYM is, or at least used to be, a meme documentation site. Ideally, you're not supposed to merely dump some pictures into a gallery, you're supposed to tag which memes, sites, fandoms, characters, events etc. they relate to, which helps with future searches by these topics and avoiding duplicates. Back in the day the site had a big problem with being flooded with untagged images until they became mandatory.

I say "ideally" because in practice the tagging system has always been broken, used inconsistently between users, has weird technical issues like the ghost character limit, and not helped by the stupid poorly worded rule that only made the tags less helpful. And of course, nowadays with staff and their pet bot not giving a single fuck about proper tagging the site is flooded with heaps of badly tagged trash, so the tag usage is worse than ever. But I don't believe that means you should just not bother with tags anymore. Admittedly, I'm struggling to come up with proper tags for this image myself, but I'd say a token effort of putting in "know your meme", "button", and "jamie hamilton" is better than filling it with "a", "random", "meta", "comment", "like", "this".
