Yeah, which is why MLP:FIM was so impressive. It could have been a huge pile of dog shit like G2-3.5, and Hasbro wouldn't have cared that much, but the staff of the show actually went above and beyond in order to make something not only tolerable, but damn good.
It's not a matter of "selling out", it's a simple matter of quality and effort.
If EqG actually turns out to be as good as the actual show, then I will (begrudgingly) accept it. But otherwise, I won't hold back in bashing what I believe is a terrible idea.
