I though he might need some company. The night before It had rained so my socks were soaked with water. I spent probably 20 minutes trying to coax this cat over, with nothing but plaid sweat pants and socks on, In the middle of the street. I finally got him to come over a sit. I sat there a talked to him, telling him how pretty he was, how soft his fur was, and he would rub on my legs as I sat on the curb. We watched the sun crest together. I longed to keep him, cuddle with him, make him my friend, someone to sit on my lap and chill with me while I scrolled through /b/. But I knew I couldn't, I can't have pets In my condo. Halfway up the street I looked back, he was still sitting In the exact spot he had been when I left, wondering where I was going, why couldn't he come, When will he find someone to love him, and care for him. But I know what will happen. He ll spend another year or two on the streets, get picked up, spend years In a cage, and then get euthanized with a bunch of other animals wondering where Is he, where's that man who loved me that early morning.
