Was anyone on this show created on purpose?

Technically, the Professor WAS trying to create little girls, just not bug-eyed, finger-less superpowered ones.

Which actually makes me think what would have happened next if the chemical X hadn't gotten poured in, and what the end result would have been. Or why he couldn't just find a nice lady for that matter. If I remember right, there were two episodes where the Professor actually dated a woman, and he didn't seem too bad at it.

Though, I think one was the girls' teacher that went no where, and the other was a villain…
