Not to piss in the cornflakes or anything, but this lesson is pretty bullshit.

To be frank, ogre Fiona isn't that bad looking. Hell, even Shrek isn't. Really, the only "ugly" thing about the ogres the movie showed was how they behaved. Like having bad hygiene, farting and belching a lot, and eating terrible foods. And like I said, the ogres don't look that bad. Especially when you consider how monstrous they could have looked based on what the archetype of ogre is.

Now, thinking on this "lesson" think forward into the second movie. You know, with the ugly step-sister who sounded like a man. Where was her, "but you ARE beautiful" moment? Her entire existence was played off more like a joke.

This isn't even getting into the fact that Shrek would find members of his own race attractive. But that would just drone on and on, longer than I already have.

And yes, a donkey did fuck a dragon, that's something no one can forget.

I get ogre-emotional whenever I think about these two.
