…when "faux retro" styled visuals make you go "ah, that's awesome!" I dunno, for some reason I always like it when something that's paying homage to the 90s (or 80s for that matter too) presents itself in a "VHS tape recording" style. Pixar did the same thing with some of their Toy Story 3 viral marketing by making fake Lotso commercials that looked they they came from the 80s, and the Tim and Eric spin-off, Check It Out With Dr. Steve Brule, is made to look like a 90s era public access TV show.
