I enjoy it. I got it on the 360 when came out back in 2008, and actually re-bought it on PC recently just because it was going for pretty cheap during a GameStop PC games sale.

The gunplay might not be much to everyone's liking (surprising given this was developed by the same people behind Battlefield), but the core mechanics of "first person platforming" with the parkour mechanics are really solid and well done. Story is a little hit-and-miss, it's got memorable characters and an interesting set up, but I'll say now the payoff is a teensy bit underwhelming, and yes it ends on a mild cliffhanger (apparently DICE thought that they would have gotten to make a sequel much sooner than this).

Short version: if you enjoy games like Assassin's Creed and Prince of Persia, you'll probably like this game too (so long as you get through some of the forced combat segments).

Speaking of, the original Mirror's Edge is good right?
