Why I'm quitting Cooks Source. Recently my advertising agency ended a long relationship with Cook:s Source Magazine. And I'm relieved For over 25 years we devoted ourselves to advertising in a product for which good work is irrelevant, because it's a product that won't stop stealing other people's good work. A product that never improves, that causes anger, and makes people unhappy. But there was money in it. A lot of money. Sure, not a lot of money for the people who actually write the articles, but for advertisers like us, definitely And then, when Cooks Source claimed their victims should be compensating them I realized, here was my chance to be someone who could sleep at night, because I know I won't anger people on the intemet whatever the hell that is). So as of today, Sterling Cooper Draper Price will no longer advertise our clients in Cooks Source Magazine. We know it's going to be hard. If Cook Source Magazine is interested in companies who don't mind violation of copyright, here's a list of agencies that do iwl: BBDO, Leo Bumett, McCann Erickson, Cutler Gleason & Chaough, and Benton& Bowles.
