GamerGate - "talented, essential"

I hadn't even heard of Leigh Alexander before all this. Now I'm finding out that she's a racist, inflammatory, shit-stirring game journalist who's nonetheless being defended to the death by a crowd alleging to be against bigotry and abuse. If this guy's seriously claiming that kind of person is "one of the most talented, essential voices" in game journalism, then there's a fucking problem with game journalism.
