Okay, so this news is a few days old, but I procrastinated making this, SO HERE IT IS OVER 4 DAYS LATE!

It turns out that the coveted l-cancelling mechanic, officially known as Smooth Landing, IS in Smash 4… just not as a default mechanic. Unfortunately, it's a custom badge, meaning you have to unlock it, which is a task that's completely random. This also means it's not usable in With Anyone mode.

I don't think Sakurai has ever trolled us any harder than this… and I'm not certain if he'll ever be able to top it. (Watch him prove me wrong, lol.)
