The problem is that first impressions affect judgment too much, and most people probably aren't willing or don't care enough to dig deeper. It doesn't really help that anything you say just sounds like propaganda from the, uh, "sexist bad side", so to speak, and thus can easily be dismissed.

I've noticed there's just a really big lack of critical thinking in the general population, which is a shame. People are under the impression that their sources are 100% accurate (while those of their opponents aren't), which is just plain ridiculous.

While my sister's been here, I've learned she's mildly anti-GG, despite being a pretty heavy gamer herself. I've mostly avoided the topic just to keep things civil, but from what I've gathered from what little she's said, she apparently thinks the entire movement is mysogynistic because the jumping off point (Zoe getting busted whoring for good press) was only a big deal because she was female.

You know, never mind the fact that a large portion of the anti- spokespeople are men. Or that that was only the first event of many.

But again, she's my dear sister and the only relatable company I've had in months, I wasn't exactly going to pick a heated debate.
