Crynics 1 month ago (edited) You may all know this but if you don't and you have seen the series, well this piece of information is going to make your day! CRYNICS SPOILER ALERT Knowing that kanade's purpose for coming to the afterlife was to thank the person that donated their heart to her, Otonashi was infact the person that donated his heart in his last moments. After thanking him and reasurring him, she then dissapears. Skip a bit and it goes onto the ending where is shows a boy and a girl that resemble Kanade and Otonashi a lot, the boy chases the girl and goes to tap her on the shoulder, it then fades before he touches her The good news is that Otonashi was actually reinc arnated back into the real world, that's why the boy looks so much like him, he even notices the song that Kanade is humming while leaning up against the wall. I hope this piece of news made you happy, or angry. If I spoiled the story that is! :ID It has been confirmed by the Author as well!

It's canon. Otonashi comes back to the real world...
