I apologise for the time we have taken to respond to you. We want to know how organisations are doing when they are handling information rights issues. We also want to improve the way they deal with the personal information they are responsible for Reporting your concerns to us will help us do that. Our role is primarily to improve the practice of the organisations we regulate, not to investigate or provide formal adjudication on individual concerns. We therefore generally take an overview of all concerns that are raised about an organisation with a view to improving its compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 (the DPA). From the information available to us it does appear that the Blockbot (or the people controlling it) will need to comply with the requirements of the DPA in relation to the personal data being processing by it the Blockbot We are therefore writing to the Blockbot's representatives explaining that we consider the Blockbot to be processing personal data subject to the requirements of the DPA, providing advice on compliance with the DPA, and consider what steps may need to be taken to ensure the Blockbot's processing of personal data is compliant with the DPA Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Author has 304 answers and 740.1K answer views. 5y Not that I care that much either way, but it did expose a lot of corrupt game developers and game journalists. X Journalists would make claims of people like Anita Sarkeesian "playing video games all her life" when she openly admitted many times she is not a gamer and only starter recently (when it wasn't for an interview). Various developers trading sex or money for good reviews got exposed, journalists who accepted got exposed. People became a bit more critical about supporting a game just because the developer has a victim complex stating tat their game could have only failed because of sexism, instead of their own poor developing skills. What really sealed the deal was opposition often faking their own harassment. Anita sarkeesian and Zoe Quinn have been caught multiple times screenshotting "harassment" while showing that the harrasser's account name in the login. Or when someone called the police to help Sarkeesian against a "very real threat" she was posting about, only for police to find the harasser's messages were coming from her IP address.
