Summary:
A young America meets a boy named Davie and they become good friends. Davie shows America a picture of a blue flower that he would like to have, so America decides to go look for it to give it to his friend. Some time passes and America is still looking for the flower. He comes across Davie again who has grown a bit older since last time. Davie doesn't remember America and just decides to ignore him. This makes America unhappy, thinking that he must find that flower to become his friend again. He goes to England for help who says that the flower cannot be found here but in his home country. England promises to give the flower to America when he comes back. America sees Davie for a third time but this time he's gotten pretty old and has a family of his own. He still doesn't recognize America but is a lot nicer to him than the previous time. Davie asks him about his parents but America is confused by this and leaves unsatisfied. England finally returns to give America his flowers. Later, America runs up to a young boy, who he assumes is Davie, and gives him the flowers. "Davie" walks over to a coffin with the flowers and tosses it inside with the real Davie.
