JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - Kars's phobia

JoJo doesn't has a cultural osmosis as strong as other series as far as I'm aware (I'm counting any medium. For example, I'm not a trekkie but many whamu moments are common knowledge). Major spoilers of the series don't suffer much from "Snapekillsdumbledoritis" or "ceiling bishonen syndrome", so even if you pick the series right now, it'll still hit you right in the feels, or send your sides to space with the force of an erupting volcano.
