Patrick comes in to find a weeping Spongebob crying over the wreckage of the instrument. Spongebob confides in Patrick that he is envious of Squidward's ability to create beautiful music when he can only destroy beautiful things. Patrick suggests that Spongebob should go see Sandy. Sandy tells Spongebob that the clarinet cannot be repaired. Instead, she suggests they build Squidward a new one. One that can make beautiful music even with Squidward's sour notes Later at Tentacle Acres, Squidward rallies a secret meeting of every squid in town in the wreckage of what used to be the city's town hall. Squidward stands up and gives a lengthy, 40 minute speech about the evils of sponges and the moral virtue of his new ideology. known as "Squidism." The basis of Squidward's speech is that Squids create beautiful things, sponges can only destroy.
