I’m not happy about this at all. This will only put a further divide within the smash community. Plus, if one game gets on the main stage while the other gets streamed the previous day, the Melee and Wii U communities will be at each other’s throats:
Wii U gets main stage:
Melee fanboys will complain that they didn’t get the main stage, and instead complain that a slow game like Wii U got there. Wii U fanboys will only instigate a fight and say that they claimed what’s rightfully theirs and make some off handed comments about how Melee is outdated
Melee gets the main stage:
Melee fanboys will be happy and believe they’ve claimed what is rightfully theirs and make some off handed comments about Wii U being slow and not spectator friendly. Wii U fanboys will complain that they should have had the main stage instead of an outdated game like Melee.
