As far as I'm aware, it acts in a chain, but I may be mistaken. One might ask, "Why would you reblog from them anyway?. The thing is, it's often not the OP post that justifies a reblog, but the rebuttals to it later added by others. This post is an excellent example of this: It provides a wealth of information that eliminates the petty negativity of the original post. However, because the OP is a spineless mental infant, those that may wish to pass on this information are now unable to do so. What this means is that the cowardly little crybabies on this site that are using the ideal of "social justice to become the bullies they always wanted to be can basically prevent anyone they don't like from being able to question or criticize their posts, and prevent anyone from reblogging it from the people questioning or criticizing them. As far as l know, it will still give this prompt if you try to reblog it from someone else eone from even innocuous What this also does is prevent som reblogging, say, a gif photoset from someone if they've blocked you, and you're entirely unaware of that fact, or the reason for it. This site harbors a witch hunt mentality that will gleefully crucify anyone over even the slightest of imaginary transgressions. Because it makes the Tumblr echo-chamber even more pronounced.

Literally, you can shut down and isolate anyone and anything that tries to oppose you; and it's completely ripe for abuse.

Let's say there are two users, User A and User B.
User A decides to just start shitting all over User B, calling them a racist and saying they abuse animals; then they block User B.
User B can do nothing to defend themselves, User A's post gets spread around and reblogged to the point that User B is getting harassed by other people about stuff that didn't happen.
