This is entirely likely. People have squeaked stuff by before (normally small, quick jokes you wouldn't get unless were "in the know"), so I could see someone basing a whole show around it. It seems like a lot of shows have been pulling subversive stuff like this lately, too.

However, if that's not the case, this has got to be one of the worst coincidences in the history of cable television.
