Notes:

Sbebby was a Mock Dullahan – a slime that traipsed about in a suit of armor. She had discovered this armor under a pile of dead leaves she was eating and assumed it to be the discarded moltings of one of those knights she had seen on occasion. She crawled into the shell and found that the armor acted as an exoskeleton, enabling her to walk.

Sbebby found several things soon after. The first was that after much time and practice, she could run and even jump, and was able to cover much wider areas for foraging. The second was that she no longer needed to fear owls because of the protection the armor afforded her. The third was a sword! She found a sword.

She wasn’t very good with it since she didn’t have the proper musculoskeletal system, but she found she could make a pretty wicked chop just by slinging it around in a wide arc (an easy task without a spine or elbows). She accidentally decapitated herself several times doing this until she figured it’d be less trouble to just carry her head in her other arm. In this configuration, humans mistook her for a Dullahan and kept well away from her, which is just as well since she was equally terrified of them.

With her sword and armor, she could probably hold her own against a human or two, but she feared gaining the attention of a human community, for those were notoriously sensitive. She had eaten tomatoes from their fields once, and thereafter found her forest teeming with hunters. She was rid of them only after dumping slime-o-plasm into their traps to fake her demise. Luckily, no human in their right mind would try to hunt her now that they believed her to be a Dullahan. Only happy times from here on out!
