While I don’t agree with the point made on the divide between normie and outsider culture, I do agree that Behind the Meme isn’t very good at his job and is only contributing to the shorter life-cycle of some memes.

If BtM really wanted to make informative, entertaining, and overall better videos, he should provide way more examples than he does while also finding information not readily available on KnowYourMeme (because we all know he just reads the articles here). Pacing and overall editing style also play a contributing factor in the quality of his videos, but his audience doesn’t seem to care, so focusing on the actual research would be the first step to his improvement. Because on the internet, good content requires effort.
