For those that feel it's tl;dw, the cops in Belarus are very scummy in what they are doing. If one thinks American cops are bad, the Belarusian cops may as well be on high quality Soviet steroids in the things they do like dragging people out of cars and beating them, stopping people that aren't protesting and detaining them for 72 hours and torturing them.
