'Major Win For Government Transparency': Chuck Schumer And Mike Rounds Announce UAP Disclosure Act

Notes

The UAP Disclosure Act of 2023 was passed as part of the National Defense Authorization Act for 2024, and it sets up a timeline and process to deal with reports of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), aka UFOs.

The actual Schumer/Rounds amendment was pretty gutted by Republican-led opposition in the House of Representatives this December.

Senator Schumer later commented on X/Twitter: "It is an outrage the House didn’t work with us on our UAP proposal for a review board.
This means declassification of UAP records will be up to the same entities that have blocked and obfuscated their disclosure for decades.
We will keep working to change the status quo."

Awful lot of political fighting for something that apparently doesn't happen (aliens visiting earth, getting carjacked by the US MIC etc.).

Description

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) joined his colleague Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD) to announce a bill that would allow certain documents on UAPs to be gathered and released to the public through the National Archives. Fuel your success with Forbes.
