I can't find a YouTube upload of the version that went viral on TikTok and I'm not sure who the first person to cover this was so I'm not sure where to send credit haha.

I wanted to do a video where the song gets repeatedly worse every verse. Originally it was going to be much longer, but it took a long time to record the vocals for each verse so I decided to cap it at three.

For the background instrumental, I decided to use a MIDI (https://www.vgmusic.com/file/943408f6…) by Susan Carriere and apply the Super Mario RPG soundfont to it rather than use the original song so I could have the brief intro at the start, and so I could shift it up a semitone because I can't sing quite low enough otherwise. Obviously, this isn't a serious attempt at singing but I at least wanted it to sound serviceable lol.
