This is proof that the Internet is changing our brains.

I don't think we really needed a news article to confirm this. I know the Internet's changed my brain. Lost a bit of sanity on the ride as well, but I'll function without it.

Oh my god…

One year filled of history and achievements. Unless they lock Stars, we won't need a new thread. Besides, why do you want a new Stars (in this case… Brains)?

I was not part of it so…

You know, Brony Coming Out day is going to be next week. You should stop by. Got Cupcakes, Smarty Pants dolls and er'ything.

I thought the article was going to talk about the connections in the brain beginning to alter based upon our ability to now access information quickly making us less patient or less focused, or by making friends with people we haven't met before thereby weakening the brain's need for certain tangible objects (i.e., other people) or strengthening the sense of imagination. That's a lot more interesting though.

Same cross-sectional data problems though. Can't assess causality. Just provides weak proof for causation or moderate proof of association. I'd like to know the ages of the participants. I know that brains don't fully develop until about 25, especially in regards to the frontal lobe (I think the phrase is myelination.) If you're talking about undergraduate students, then you're dealing with a rather specific, rather plastic sample. I'd think that college undergrads and people who are set on going to college are more receptive to social interaction, perhaps they are better at it, and probably have more gray matter even before getting a Facebook account, but who can say? It's a start, I guess.

What?

"The study cannot tell us whether using the internet is good or bad for our brains."
That's what we wanted to know from the very start…

(Protip: Always read the OP so you don't get derailed… again.)

What's Brony Comeing Out day?

And also.
"I think the show is good, but I'm not here to make a heavy handed social movement. I'm not jumping into MLP groups, going on recruiting runs, saying people are stupid for not liking the show or racking my brain wondering if a particular person also likes the show. You can keep the label, I just think the show is good." – DasboSchitt

Well, It shows the effects on our brain, not really if its good or not, sorta like if you browse too much porn, its gonna affect you most likely negatively.
