Hey guys we are trying to get a feel for what people think about the site what words they use to describe certain types of Internet media. If you get a chance, please take a minute to do the survey below:

Is it bad that I recognized the first website as "Pinterest"?
My mom uses it.

Pinterest is a pretty cool site, actually. My wife suggested I check it out, and while it does seem to have a larger appeal to women, even a few of my guy friends turned out to be on there. My impression of it after using it for a few days is that it was like Tumblr organized by category instead of time (and without any porn).

The website is fine but the only problem I have with Pinterest is the "Pin It" button and it's ability to detect content. Sometimes when I try to pin a picture it doesn't detect any content on the page even though clearly there is content.

I don't think that a Pinterest-like website style will be suitable for any Cheezburger site. It just doesn't fit the type of content Cheezburger hosts.

Pinterest is really the first website to use a layout like this (Chill followed soon after) so it's really a new fresh idea in the field of web design. Pinterest's content mainly consists of fashion, photography, food, household products and the like. All of those somehow fit in with the design of the website itself. If you replace all these images with humorous pictures involving memes and other content Cheezburger hosts, it just doesn't fit well.

Cheezburger also has ads. With a website style like this, there are no places to put ads. Pinterest makes money off "Pins" that subtly advertise products. Which is a clever way for a website to obtain money without a bunch of distracting ads all over the site.

It actually looks a lot like the tumblr /archive view of any blog:

my archive, some NSFW content

which is nice, but can be overwhelming. Obv, the larger images + context of pinterest make it feel very different than a simple archive.

And no ads always helps any site design B-)

Surprised there was no option for "confusing" or "overwhelming" for some of the design-related questions. Used "obnoxious" instead :X

Done,Great Survey, but you could of added more words like "Sexy" or something Similiar. Also,I don't like all of the layouts at all, like most people here are saying.

I like the layout the way it is (guess you saw that coming)

One last thing: maybe you should do something to keep brand new members from creating submissions. There is too much obvious trolling going on here… either that or people think this site is for pushing their memes … not documenting known memes. There are a lot of websites out there for people who want to share images; I find it hard to believe this many people got the wrong idea. It's creating a lot of frustration and no LOLs. Make them earn some karma before they get permission to submit or edit entries.

Thanks for all your work putting smiles on faces and promoting the spread of ideas,
