"It's been raining for the past couple of weeks now, and still I haven't had a new client since that last case." I let out a sigh of frustration as I kept reading the newspaper, I really didn't care what was on it but when you're bored anything is better than nothing. When I read the title of the front page "Private Eye involved in Exorcism Drama" I knew that they were talking about me and my last case.It was alright I guess, they did get some things wrong on what happened but it was ok, exept for one little line written in the paper, "Crow, who describes himself as a private detective, has been linked to occult activities on several occasions, we regard Crow as a highly dubious character." "A dubious character am I, well it takes one dubious bastard to know another. You all are lucky that I don't care about what you have to say about me." "But they're still bunch of bloody tossers."

As I get up from my desk ready to call it a day I noticed a pamphlet that I clearly remember wasn't there before on my desk "I guess I'll humor the magically appearing pamphlet and see what it has to offer." As I pick up the pamphlet I see that it's advertising a place called the Summer Winds Hotel "Summer Winds? What a minute isn't there some sort of rumor going on about the place?" "Actually what day is it?" I look at the calender and I saw that today is December 20th "Yeah I remember now, supposedly something happens in that place when either the Winter or Summer Solstice comes by but what was it again? I think it had to do with some game. I think?"

I put on my trenchcoat and hat, luckily I'm still wearing my plague doctor mask so I don't have to waste time looking for it "Well Summer Winds, you've convinced me to go to pay you a visit, but I'm only doing this because you have this strange rumor about you and the fact that I haven't had a vacation for quite a while now." I go to my room to pack my things for the long trip to as what the pamphlet describes as "an elegant and eccentric five star hotel", I should have known that it would have been too good to be true and that it was going to be yet another case for me.

Ok folks this is my experimental attempt on making a horror themed rpg thread. All of you have a three day time limit to decide if you want to join in or not, those that do decide to join in have to describe their character's name, appearance, personality, back story, and most importantly, why they chose to come to the Summer Winds Hotel. If too many people join in then I will close off all new entrants early and if you try to force yourself in then there will be a nasty surprise waiting for your character.

Name: Jamie Rimm
Age: 20
Appearance: Ginger hair, Blue eyes, a checker-patterned hoodie, grey jeans, green tennis shoes.
Personality: Jamie is a paranoid girl who can be friendly and upbeat--well, if you get to know her.
Backstory: Her sister(Amanda Rimm)disappeared when Jamie was 8. She never knew what happened to her sister--but she forgot about it a year before she checked into the hotel.

Alright, I think I will join in. Though I got my hands full till Saturday Evening.

Name: Kasumi Yamamoto
Age: 21
Appearance: Pretty Much This
Personality: Outwardly polite and non-confrontational, and therefore passive aggressive to people who piss her off. Introverted to the point where very little can be said if more than one person is present. Inwardly you will find out for yourself.
Backstory: Despite leading a mostly ordinary life, she has been able to occasionally see ghosts. Though only if she is focusing. Recently this "ability" has "improved", causing her to see ghosts even if she isn't paying attention. This of course spooks her, but quickly blames this on the amount of stress school has been giving her she decides she just needs a break and goes on vacation.

Name: Redmond "Red" Statscowski
Age: 19
Appearance: This, minus the silly renaissance clothing. He wears dirty street clothes
Backstory: A highscool dropout with "l337 h4x0r 5k1llz," who is also extremely well rounded. Although he is athletic, and quick, he's not quite buff, just short of a genius, and not exceptionally fast. He's staying at the hotel as temporary housing while hiding from his rich and sheltering parents who want him to never work a day in his life to inherit their fortune, a fate worse than death for one as ADHD energetic as Red. He's currently pursuing his dream job of a paranormal investigator, and he is armed with a fair amount of backyard ghost hunting equipment, complete with infrared (night vision) video camera, normal camera, and a Dictaphone.

Name: Nickname "Dio", real name unknown.
Age: 23
Appearance: A man wearing, from the top down, some aviators, a leather jacket with a plain white t-shirt underneath. He is wearing Jeans, and a pair of sneakers. His hair is in the pompadour style,
Backstory Nobody knows how he got the Nickname "Dio". Some say it's because of his harsh personality. Some say it's because of his real name. His normal life is shrouded in mystery, his reasons for coming to the hotel unknown. Maybe some information will be revealed about him during the course of this hellish trip. Maybe some won't.

This seems interesting. Think I'll join in.
Name: Meredith Burner
Age: 23
Appearance: This, more or less
Personality: She is generally a pretty quiet person despite sometimes breaking into song. She tries to stay neutral in arguments or end them herself via trying to get both sides to "agree to disagree". She has a great interest in the paranormal and religions, despite being easily scared. She tends to become less stern with someone the better she knows them. She may also spontaneously break into song or switch moods. While good with facts and such, she has a generally pure mind and isn't very street-smart.
Backstory: Leading a pretty much ordinary life, she is a member of a nationally acclaimed choir, singing in the soprano section of the group. Her choir is set to sing in town nearby in a couple of days, and she decided to arrive as early as she could so she could do some last minute preparations and to relax afterwards.

Horror, eh? I'll give it a go.

Name: Dr. Ivo Kintobor ("Eggman")
Age: 42
Appearance: Take a wild guess.
Personality: Despite his age, "Dr. Eggman" often acts immature, especially when things don't go his way. He is often condescending of others to the point of coming off as downright arrogant, and he isn't usually a team player. However, Kintobor can at times prove to be helpful, and his ability to carefully analyze the situation he is in makes him valuable when it comes to problem-solving. Eggman considers himself to be a genius of sorts.
He also has a strange mild obsession with hedgehogs, for which he has expressed a particular distaste.
Backstory: Kintobor is from a wealthy family, which is how he often finances his exploits. This time, he's heard of rumors regarding strange activity at the Summer Winds Hotel. Always with a curious mind, Dr. Kintobor decides to pay the Hotel a visit.

Name:"Derp"(seriously)
Age:34
Appearance:Jacket with gray stripes, black shirt and navy blue pants.
Personality:Silent with a lot of thoughts about everything around him. He looks kinda creepy, but only him knows that he's scared of ghosts.(whut) He's aware he is in a thread.
Backstory:UNKNOWN

Since we still have two more days before I close this thread for new players and actually start the game. I thought that it will be an interesting idea for us to help each other on deciding on how Summer Winds' should not only look like, but how many floors it has, and what sort of special rooms it should have.

As for me? I think Summer Winds' should have a gothic art-deco look to it and that it has seven floors (well in truth nine but the attic and basement are off limits to non staff personal and to always remember that there's no tenth floor in Summer Winds'). As for the special rooms the first two are at the first floor, the lobby. On the left side there's the "Casino Room" a room made to look like well a casino. On the right there's an indoor swimming pool with a miniature jacuzzi pool next to it, on the third floor there's an Arcade that's open from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M., the fourth room contains a library and before you ask yes, there are computers in the library and only one uses Windows 98. And the final room worth mentioning is the "Forgotten Room", it's less of a room and more of a section of the hotel that hasn't been renovated and left abandoned by the staff.

So those are my ideas, feel free to add what you want. Also I love the fact that almost everyone here right out of the bat thought of ghosts.

Shit I almost forgot on where should Summer Winds' be located at. I'm leaving that one to you guys but do pick a place that has a winter season.

Can you explain how the "Forgotten Room" looks like?

blue wrote:

Can you explain how the "Forgotten Room" looks like?

Sure, like I mention it's less of a room and more of a parts of the hotel that for one reason or another wasn't renovated. When the hotel was renovated they remove the original wooden floors to make way for floor tiles, but in the "Forgotten Room" the wooden flooring remains along with both the wooden walls and ceiling. The condition of the wood is pretty bad, whatever color the wood originally had has been replace by a greenish mold mixed dust. The floor also has a few holes and if you put enough pressure on some locations the floor will actually break. The walls aren't any better too, covered by the same mold and dust as everywhere else, the only thing that makes the wall different is the clipping paint that clings to it like a leech and painting that have long since fade away.

The windows in the"room" are either broken or are close too braking and the ceiling above has been know to some occasion have pieces of it fall off and hit the staff. This area for the most part is empty with a few exception. One room in contains an old beaten up mattress with a broken dresser keeping it companion(though the mirror is in good condition). Another room is the studies which out one point kept books but now most of them are either in the new library, the attic, or has aged to oblivion. In the center of the studies are a fireplace and two leather chairs. Despite the fact that they both look stable in truth one of the is insanely fragile so if you do find them be careful on which one you pick.

Other "lovely" sites in the forgotten room includes "The Room of Broken Childhood" which is littered with broken toys, "The Stairway to Nowhere" a broken staircase that literally leads to nowhere, and a broken bathroom that for the most part, the plumbing has stopped( so if something comes out of the bathtub or sink then that's not water). The "Forgotten Room" is also well know for it being eerily quiet, the only sound that ever heard from the area are the creaking of the aging wood and the wind breezing through the broken windows. But the most strangest part about the "room" is that staff members have found artifacts that belong to the hotel back when it was a manor just appearing out of nowhere looking in pristine condition, however the opposite is true on the fact that if you don't keep an eye on something you brought with you then it will disappear.

I hope this helps you kebab and remember you still have time to add something to the hotel or even the "Forgotten Room" since it has your attention. If there are any grammar or spelling mistakes then let me say that I wrote this while I was tired and with that I think I'm hitting hay, See yea folks.

EDIT: Damn could get to my last comment in time but there was one thing I almost forgot. The “Forgotten Room” hasn't been fully explored as of yet. The two leaning factor are that some sections of the area have been sealed off due to debris blocking the way and the other being that while the “Forgotten Room” bring out the feeling of isolation it as been told by some member of the staff that if you travel deeper into the place then one starts to have the feeling that they are not alone and that they're are being watched. If you keep on going then the feeling would get stronger and stronger until you feel that there are eyes everywhere looking at you. Needless to say most flee at this point but who knows maybe some day someone will have the courage and insanity to explore even deeper into the place and find whatever lost secrets that the “room” holds.

Name: Dennis Miller

Age: 19

Apperance: Orange buttoned up shirt and blue jeans

Backstory: A apprentice magician to his father, the famous Nat Miller, who was one of the best sorcerers in his time. Dennis is very weak at magic now, but he's been working. He came to the hotel because this is his Thanksgiving vacation break and he wanted to go out for once.

Should the place be New Orleans?

I know that I said that I'm going to sleep but since you already did bios for your characters it's only fair if I did so too.

Name:Crow, but on some occasions has called himself "Jack Crow"

Age: somewhere in his twenties

Appearance: Wears a black four-button suit, a white shirt, and black pants with red tribal designs on them. he also wears a black trenchcoat (Which he uses to carry small magical artifacts and talismans) a brim hat, and a plague doctor's mask.

Personality: Cheeky and sarcastic are just two parts of his personality to see the rest of his personality you have to "see" the show.

Backstrory: Occult investigator/Magician (and if some people are correct con artist), Crow walks the secret streets of an unseen world called the Occult Underground. Everyday he grapples with events and forces that most people don't even know exist, and while dealing with the occult and supernatural has caused him great pain in the past he still continues on because not only does he have a love for the macabre but he is also a bit of a fear junkie.

Reason for coming to Summer Winds': Look at the first post.
-
Also got to remember post the rules and mechanics soon and as for locations everyone cast your votes between either Virginia or New Orleans.

Name: Jack Klaustoffler

Age: 26

Appearance: Average hight, in good shape, with unkempt hair and unremarkable facial features. He wears a trenchcoat with many pockets, a beat-up sombrero, jeans and sneakers, and a faded black t-shirt with an indecipherable logo on it. Unless he recently bathed, he always had a faint smell of marijuana about him.

Personality: Jack is a rebellious loudmouth with a flair for the dramatic. He's hot-headed and eccentric, but has a keen detective eye and is streetwise. He enjoys struggle and competition and becomes irritable if there's nothing to do. While Jack is kind of a jackass, he's also very loyal and honest. He loves mystery and the supernatural, and believes in magic, aliens, etc.

Backstory: Jack is a wanderer who seeks adventure and wants to solve the mysteries of the world. His parents were in a cult, and he was raised by his Mexican uncle, who's lucky sombrero he still wears to this day. He inherited his parents interest in the occult and his uncle's love of swashbuckling adventure and exploration. He was passing through the area, when heard rumors about Summer Winds and naturally, decided to investigate.

EDIT: I vote New Orleans.

Name: Jace

Age: 20

Appearance: stoner-like except no red eyes, always had an longtime childhood scar above vain (people think this scar is from a suicide attempt).

Personality: possibly schizophrenic, kept to self, and almost depressed

Backstory: a failed artist who lost everything because of an robbery, he went from doing clam games to stealing , said to support self, now apparently artist STATUS: not ready ~New Orleans Social Services

vote for big easy

escaping the big easy Jace became a drifter walking to summer winds because of easy living cost and didn't read rumors about haunting

like the idea except the summer winds should be an successful beach resort that was almost destroyed by an natural disaster now a depressing sight

As far as a locale goes, I suppose somewhere near Seattle… Provided this takes place in the United States. If it takes place elsewhere, I think a Scandanavian country would work for some reason.

Anyway, on to my profile.

Name: Booker Smythe.

Age: 20.

Appearance: Like this.

Personality: Booker Smythe is typically a mild-mannered person, but an unexpected heart attack that he recently recovered from has left him constantly on alert, untrusting of people. Aside from that, he seems to have a knack for empathy and a dry wit. He is very dexterous and is efficient with knives to the point where it has been said he has successfully played "The Knife Game" with a number of people without bringing physical harm to anyone.

Backstory: Booker Smythe is an aspiring writer whose early work has sold relatively well, though critics and audiences have seemed to consider his work nothing particularly special. While he has retained exceptional health for much of his life, he experienced a heart attack that he presumes was brought about by stress from overwork. Smythe decided to go on a vacation, partially so he can take it easy, and partially for the hope that he can find a big break in a hotel that he recently heard about, thinking that the eccentric qualities of the location could spur his imagination.

It's a good idea but the idea of Summer Winds and the Angel Games was based on this recurring dream that I've been having so I kinda want to keep consistency by sticking close to how it was in my dreams (with a few alterations).

Whoops, didn't notice the thing about the two locations. I'll throw in another vote for New Orleans; so far as I know, a city as filled with culture as that is bound to have its fair share of ghosts.

I'd also like to throw in the idea that Room 217 was the scene of some heinous, unspeakable crime that the caretakers have done well to cover up. If it used to be a manor, I think that an observatory and a recreational room would be interesting additions to the locale. Definitely go for a Gothic-Art-Deco look.

Seeing how New Orleans is a common vacationing spot, that makes the most sense. Though if you where planning a remote island syndrome type affair, it most definitely wouldn't be the prime spot.

But anyways, I am down for New Orleans. Lets get the Jazz Rolling!

Since we still have time before I close this thread to new participants let's see what we have for Summer Winds. Summer Winds is a hotel that was once an abandoned manor located in New Orleans. The hotel has a Gothic-Art-Deco look to it and has seven floors available for guests while the attic and basement are off limits. Some of the unique rooms that the place has are the Casino room, an indoor pool with a small jacuzzi next to it, the library, an arcade, an observatory, a recreational room, and the "Forgotten Room". Some of the bedroom also carry with them some dark secrets (like room 217) that you'll either have to figure it out on your own or pry it off the staff.

Now for the rules of this game. Some will be recognizable to some people while others are ones that I made up for the thread.

1. BIC denotes when the real post relating to the story begins. OOC denotes me answering or explaining the mechanics of the game.

2. I'll be in control of most of the NPCs in the hotel so not only do control the horrors I also control the staff. So if you were killed then you can blame me, Also player characters that try to interact with the staff can get some interesting information out of them (amusing you don't fail at it) .

3. If I’m forgetting anything else, or you are confused, just post OOC, and then your question or response.

4. This one has three forms but it mostly relates to how you can escape from certain death, help others escape from death, and how prolong your inevitable end.

4-A In some scenarios I will have a character stuck in a life or death situation. But instead me killing the right I'll give the user temporary control of the enemies so that way the can try to escape. But if I don't like how you did it then I'll throw a "Counter" in which your attempt not only fails but makes the situation even worse, but I'm fair enough to give a second chance but if I throw a second counter dubbed the "Fatal Counter" then you character is dead.

4-B If another character was in the same place where scenario 4-A is happening they can try to help out said character. Doing so will cause them to be stuck in the situation as the other player and there is the possibility you will fail on your attempt at heroism. But if you get away with both your life and that of the other player, then you get a "Get out of death free card" which you can use to escape from certain death without me countering it (But it will cause the horrors of Summer Winds to become incredibly hostile towards you).

4-C Also called "Final Moments" If this trigger then it means that a character has been severely injured and that they are dying. Once triggered the user has either 3 or 4 comments ( or even shorter) left to post before their character dies.

RP'ers uuuuuuuuuuuniiiiiiiiiiiiite!

Name: Ben

Age: 19

Appearance: Average height, average build, nothing too special in terms of health or physique.
From top to bottom. Short hair, ear piercing, wears a deep red zip hoody with a grey polo underneath, black baggy jeans and Osiris skate shoes.

Backstory: A British kid from the English countryside with an average lower class upbringing and life. Most of his time is spent working to help fund his living costs whilst any other spare time he has is used playing Xbox games or generally chilling out in his flat. When he has time off work he enjoys getting together with his mates and having a laugh, activities usually include menial things like heading down to McDonald's, mucking about the town centre or going crusin' in his friends real shit good car with some phresh dubstep on full blast. Standards are low, aspirations even lower.

Reason for coming to Summer Winds: Having been sacked from his current job, Ben decided that he needed a proper break. When going through brochures he noticed Summer Winds, the rumours attracted his attention and ignited his want for an adventure whilst the jacuzzi sealed the deal.

OOC: This thread is now closed to new participants. So with that out of the way let’s get this show on the road.
-

An old dull yellow taxi stops in front of the hotel. In the taxi there’s a driver who really doesn't want to be here and his passenger who is just waking up right now “You know, for an old beat up taxi the seats here are surprisingly conformable to sleep on.” I reached into my pockets and payed the driver for taking me here. As I get off of the taxi I heard the sound of the trunk being slammed closed. I looked and saw that all of my stuff has been already taken out by two people wearing butler-like attire. One of them leaves with my belongings and goes to the hotel while the taxi leaves, leaving me and the other guy alone.

"Welcome Mr.Crow it’s a pleasure to meet you” said the man “Well it’s nice to meet you too Mr…Valentin.” "Thank god for name tags." The now named Valentin continued to talk "When I heard that you were coming I knew that I would need your help.” “_Wow my vacation died before it even began, that’s a new record._” Valentin then went on telling me about how yesterday afternoon one of the guests went insane, believing that he was being hunted by unseen specters and locked himself in his room. When the staff went to check on him, he just vanished into thin air.

“So you believe that this Winston Payne might have invocated the spirits of the "angel" game?" he nod his head "In truth I rather not but with no signs of forced entry, nor a struggle, or even a ransom I have no other reason but to think of that.” I let out a sigh “I really don’t have a choice now do I?” Valentin chuckled at my remark "Don’t worry Mr.Crow we will pay you most handsomely for your help. Also none of the guests know about the incidents and we would like it if you don’t mention this to anyone else.” He raised his hand "Do we have a deal?" I took his hand and shook it “Like I said, I really don’t have a choice.” The two of us then walked into the hotel.

OOC: Some new things to mention. One is that purple text is used whenever a staff member is talking and the other is the fact tomorrow is my birthday! Also sorry for ghost bumping the thread I was having some trouble when making this post.

Jamie looked out of the bus window, hoping "Summer Winds" wasn't too far off. "Any second now," She mumbled to herself. Suddenly, the bus stopped.

Jamie got out of the bus, looking at the big hotel looming above her. She sighed, then walked in.

ah the winds thought about new ideas but don't know why people are scared of this place. jace says while walking man they said an bunch of weirdos can hang out outside oh well time to stay for an night muttered jace "WHY NOT THE WHOLE YEAR?" eacj said in his mind "HOW BOUT A WEEK" dammit oh well better check in jace said

Dr. Kintobor sits in the back of a sleek black limousine, according to the doctor's usual style.

Excuse me, driver? How much longer until we get there?

The driver responds with a distinct British accent.

"Only a few more minutes, sir."

Kintobor thinks to himself:

It's about time! I'm getting exhausted from this ride.

A few minutes later, the limousine arrives at the hotel.

Ah, finally!

The driver exits and briskly walks to Robotnik's door and opens it for him.

Thank you very much.

The driver bows slightly.

"Indeed, sir."

Hmm… It's not quite as I imagined. It's… more eerie than I anticipated. Ah, well! Time to see what all of the fuss is really about!

"You can check out anytime you like/but you can never leave," the radio softly vibrated off of the inside of the Ford.

"Heh," Booker Smythe thought to himself. "I wonder if there's any truth to that old song." It was more-or-less noon and the up-and-coming writer finally drove up to the hotel he was looking to check into. Booker pulled into the nearest open parking spot as far as he could go, parked the car, and put the parking-break on for good measure – he could never be too careful, even on a relatively-flat road.

After getting out of the car and double-checking that he had locked it, Booker gazed upon the hotel. It had a sort of beauty to it that almost seemed lost to time, but its eccentricities are what gave the place value in his eyes. He had wanted to go to New Orleans in order to unwind after stress had gotten the better of him, and he had heard that the state was beautiful around this time of year. He subconsciously wanted to find inspiration in the Big Easy for a future project, but given that work had caused him to have cardiac arrest, he tried putting it in the back of his mind.

He approached the hotel with a bit of confidence, but had an unfortunate tendency to leer at some of the other people he saw going into the hotel. The heart attack certainly hadn't done wonders for his interpersonal skills. Nonetheless, he waited patiently in line to check in and greeted the staff with an air of confidence.

"Good afternoon," Booker said. "My name is Booker Smythe. I presume you have my reservation?"

"Un Sagen und lider…" Meredith quietly sung to herself as the taxi approached the hotel. The concert wasn't too far away, so reviewing some of the songs would be a good thing to do. At least, that was her justification for singing at the moment. She stared out the window as the taxi approached the hotel. "Kind of spooky." She thought for a moment as she got out and paid the driver what was due. She continued to sing to herself as she dragged her bag behind her and entered the hotel.
"Glad I came here ahead of the other members, I can not relax with those guys around." She patiently waited in line to check in as she continued to sing to herself.
((OOC: Happy early birthday, Crow.))

@ Booker Smythe: "Why yes we do Mr. Smythe but unfortunately you'll have to what for a while." said a small woman wearing the same butler-like attire "You see the previous guest that stayed in room 217 left in a hurry and he left all of his belongings behind, so right now the staff is cleaning up the room." The woman then calls another member of the staff to pick up Booker's belongings "Don't worry we'll take good care of your possessions, in the mean time why don't you relax in our recreational room or our library since you are a writer."

@Dr. Eggman: "We're deeply sorry Mr. Kintobor but the room that you reserved isn't available at this present time" She said with a nervous tone on her voice "You see there was… an accident on room 404 and right now we have someone investigating on the matter, but while we try to find you a new room why don't you pay a visit to our observatory?"

@Jace: "Hm this is strange?" She said confused "Even though we've had no knowledge about you coming here you seem to have a reservation for room 515?" She then shrugged* "Well other then the occasional problems with the t.v. your room is ok to go in."

@ Jamie Rimm: "Ah Ms. Rimm our first guest to call in a reservation for the day. We've made sure that your room is in tip-top condition." She then hand Jamie a key card "Your room is 614 and may you enjoy your stay here in Summer Winds."

EDIT: @ Meredith Burner: "Judging from your singing you must Ms. Burner" Annabel gives Meredith both a smile and a key card "Your room is 312 but it was originally suppose to be room 333 but another guest reserved it before you."

OOC: Ok I'm gonna call this staff member Annabel for now on because it's more convenient that way.

OOC: Happy birthday, man.

BIC:

The taxi pulls up at the hotel, after about 5 minutes of trying to blag the price down on the fare, Ben finally gives in and pays

Day-light robbery that is mate..joke

He climbs out of the cab whilst dragging his suitcase behind him before it speeds off. He then stops and takes a sec and to absorb his new surroundings…he thinks to himself…

Feels top-draw getting away for a bit…this place is a little freakier than I thought though…

…taking notice of his fellow holiday makers..

Seem like a sound enough lot…

Walking towards the entrance he carelessly drags his luggage case behind him. Making his way into the lobby he joins the back of the line.

Jamie took the keycard, thanked the employee, then went to find her room. "Hm.. This place is more.. darker than I thought." She kept on dragging her suitcase along, looking around.

A few minutes later…

Jamie closed the door, unpacked, then sat on her bed. ""I guess the exploration can wait.." She said, turning on the TV.

Kasumi had spent the day like any other hilariously lost tourist would: hilariously lost. After a few long painful hours of regretting her lack of a rental car or taxi, she finally, FINALLY makes it to the hotel. Dragging her bag out of the bus and thanking the driver before heading inside.

"Really hope checkout hasn't closed yet…"

She heads to the desk, having reserved a room in advanced.

Dennis looks at the mirror.

Dennis: lookin good my friend. Look. Ing. Good.

Suddenly the vintage car sputters and slows to a stop. Dennis curses and gets out. He checks his map.

Dennis: Next chance I get, I'm getting that Ford F150. I mean with its zero gas mileage and all. Great. Its only is a 4 mile walk to the city and a 5 mile walk to the hotel. If only dad taught me the transportation spell.

Dennis starts slowly jogging to new orleans.

OOC: Thanks Novák.

@ Ben; "Ah Ben your in just in time, we've decided to open the Casino Room much earlier for today." She then gave Ben the key card to his room "Also your room is 204 it's being clean up right, the guest left a bit of a miss for us."
-
Me and Valentin walk a few paces away from the other guests so they don't over hear us. "So did any movie stars ever come by here?" Valentin gave me a small smirk "Some have dropped by from time to time, a few of them never left the place." He then reached down to his pockets and pull out two key cards "The one for room 333 is yours, while the one for 404 belonged to Winston" He then gave me the cards.

"I don't know form what I remember about the spirits of the angel game only targets those's who trigger the damn thing." Before Valentin can answer my question he notices that some of the other guests are coming towards us "And the arcade is open from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M. now excuse me Mr. Crow I'm very busy." And with that he left.

Kintobor is frustrated, to say the least.

It's Doctor Kintobor, and I don't appreciate the delay.

*sigh*

An observatory, huh? Well, I suppose I can visit there while you sort out whatever the heck is going on.

What about my luggage? Where will it go?

EDIT: OOC: See you later, Crow. I'd say this RP is off to a great start.

I'm done here for tonight as well. Great job so far, everyone.

"Thanks for the ride, man." Jack Klaustoffler said to the driver of an old chevy "Not a problem, y'all take care." As the truck drove away, Jack faced the hotel and reached into some of his many coat pockets. He pulled out an astronomical chart for the month and a tarot card "Lessee here… full moon tomorrow night, stars align at midnight in two days… perfect!" He glanced at the card "The Tower, huh? Figures…" Placing the items back into his coat, he walked towards Summer Winds and grinned. "Time to check in and see what all the fuss is about! Mystery and excitement awaits the bold! Hurrah!"

OCC: happy fucking birthday, old ass bitch!

After hearing "the guest left a bit of a mess for us." he takes the card with some hesitance
Errr… yeah thanks…
He sets off, heading up towards his room
I've got some spare cash…wouldn't mind casino'ing it for a bit, then jacuzzi afterwards for sure
Arriving at 204 and battling with the fancy key card system he walks in and makes himself at home, instead of unpacking he just opens the bag and leaves it sat down by the side of his bed.

After a few minutes of wandering around his pad and checking it out he switches on the TV and takes a moment to chill out, after all he has travelled far…

"Thank you, Miss Annabel." Booker wasn't quite sure that she stated her name, but he could have sworn he overheard it. He didn't seem to see a nametag, oddly enough. He began to wonder if Annabel was hiding something. "I don't suppose there's been any, ah, trouble in Room 217, has there?" He grinned nervously. Though he tried to stifle the question, the words came tumbling out.

Booker made a mental note to visit the Library when he had the chance. It wouldn't hurt to see what kinds of texts the hotel took interest in, after all.
