So, I was looking for a visual "rimshot" to post in a thread in General, and a Google search turned up this pic:

There's no surprise that such a pic exists, but what was a surprise was that there were a few hundred sites with this image!

So, I ask, meme or not meme?

P.S. Tineye.com seems to be indicating that the pic originated from http://charliechiklisandthemoonlighters.com, which seems to no longer exist, and has at least one variation.

It's spread enough though, but the mutation could use a bit of a boost.

I don't know, I'm not really the judge here, but I figured I'd put my two cents in.

Then again, this seems like it's VERY easy to utilize, so… why not?

Maybe it should be just rimshot in general and not just the pic. Because you could also post a video clip of a rimshot noise.

Well, a "rimshot in general" is an IRL meme, though. I'm wondering if this in particular has become the Internet's version.
