About

The Facebook privacy settings meme are status message quips about how to protect your privacy and information from being used by Facebook. These quips go beyond the normal, describing ways to prevent problems and mayham.

Origin

The Facebook privacy setting messages began in mid-December when Facebook announced a new privacy policy that changes the way your Facebook content can be used by them and third-party clients. People began telling their friends how to turn back on certain privacy restrictions by posting status messages describing the tabs and links to click.

Hilariy Ensues

As more people began sending these messages, people began to make up settings to disable, new secret options, and even ways to prevent a global apocolypse.

+1 work, but I can smell the potential. I’ve been seeing a lot of what people have done here. You just need to put it out there.
