Future Conan is a YTMND fad featuring Conan O’Brien cast in the role of “Big Brother” from George Orwell’s 1984 utilizing footage from Late Night With Conan O’Brien and the 1984 Apple Computer Super Bowl commercial.

The first Future Conan YTMND was Conan in the Future, (Uploaded on December 31, 2005 and currently has over 280,000 views). [Note: The YTMND has been replaced with alternate content] It was a derivative of the Conan is… meme. The YTMND was a splice of both the YTMND Conan … HAS GONE INSANE! and Apple commercial 1984.

The music used in both YTMNDs is Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) by Eurythmics.

The YTMND turned into a fad, with derivatives being created (often with “Sweet Dreams” as BGM). The eventual result was a loose, convoluted storyline.

At some point before January 2006, Future Conan was so popular that the Top 5 YTMNDs were all Future Conan YTMNDs.
