Gordon the Pringles Giraffe

Gordon the Pringles Giraffe is a MSPaint-drawn giraffe with the head of the mustachioed mascot for Pringles Potato Chips. His first appearance was in a comic by the Shrimp and Hippo Team which is Victor Hemsley and Keegan Murphy. Gordon himself was created by Victor's cousin Tyler.

Gordon was originally a minor character in a comic by the little-known "Shrimp and Hippo Team" made sometime in 2006. On July 16, 2007 the Administrator of the Triforce of Power forums "Cheerios4u98" (Victor Hemsley) started a thread called "The Gordon appreciation thread" where he asked the users for some fan art. Gordon remained obscure to the majority of the internet, but Gordon became a mascot for the forums.

One user on the forums was "Crawfish Deku" who posted many of his Gordon pictures to his DeviantArt account. According to ED's talk page Crawfish Deku posted the first Gordon post on 4chan on the Random board or /b/ and it exploded.

Gordon gained popularity in late 2008 according to Google insights for search. (No results for Gordon the Pringles Giraffe.)
