During the 2010 NFL season, ESPN's Week 10 Monday Night Football match-up featured the Washington Redskins versus the Philadelphia Eagles at FedEx Field, the home of the Redskins. After the 1st quarter, the Eagles were leading the game 28-0, then won the game in a final score of 59-28. The Eagles' quarterback Michael Vick had a record-setting performance with 3 passing touchdowns and 2 rushing touchdowns. The Eagles went on to tie the NFC East division with the New York Giants with a record of 6-3, while the Redskins falling to a 4-5 record.

Following the game, DC Sports Talk host Chad Dukes wanted to talk a little bit about his father and their history with being Redskins fans, but then goes on a rant about Dan Snyder, the Redskins performance, and the cons of being a Redskins fan.

This found its way to a website called BleedingGreenNation.com, and eventually onto 4Chan's sports board, /sp/. The response was met with mostly positive results, from lulzy quotes such as "I WANT REDSKINS REPARATIONS," "YOU SUCK DAN SNYDER," and LaVar's constant "GET 'EM" from time to time encouraging Chad Dukes to continue on with the rant and let all of his feelings of the Redskins flow through on the air, even claiming that the season is dead after the game with a 4-5 record in a tight-raced division. Currently, the 2010 NFL season is still on-going and no one team has clinched a playoff berth.
