This meme emerged from the misheard lyrics of a movement from Carl Orff's famous choral work, Carmina Burana, the dramatic piece often heard during parodies of fight scenes, which is itself a meme. The singers seem to be chanting, "Salsa cookies, windmill cookies: they'll give you gonorrhea!" Minor variations arise over "they'll give you…" or "they give you…"
