It's being fueled by the fact that it's politically correct to demonize and hate lonely, anti-social men, which further alienates them. These people have no support groups, no empathy expressed for them. Society preaches tolerance and sympathy for all people, but a generation of lonely, awkward men are being ostracized and hated. Small social groups reject it, and society on a large scale rejects it. I would love to be proven wrong one day, but today it won't happen. The only way to be happy is to conform and to hide everything that makes you different. Society sets pretty rough standards for men socially, and refuses to give them the tools to succeed. Males are now struggling in education due to female-oriented teaching and a lack of attention paid towards them. Men have all of the onus of the dating market put on them. Men are expected to succeed economically, and don't have the fall-back of stay at home mother that women do. To top it off, with all of these stressful social expectations, men are expected to always be emotionally strong and are not given the skills to cope with failure and rejection by society. The male ego is extremely fragile, and when life challenges it there is no way for the man to cope with not living up to societal expectations of themselves. It's men who kill themselves more than women, because men aren't supposed to seek help. Men can't suffer from depression, or they're weak. Everyone concems themselves with the welfare of women and minorities while completely ignoring the psychosocial turbulence that is growing up as a male in the 21st century But let's talk about GamerGate and male privilege some more and forget all that

liberals pretend to care about minorities but they don't
in the end, nobody care about "people who need help", they only care about which demographic is going to make them look good

Fuck all that. I want a good life, you need people for that. good people.

You want to talk about systemic opression? It sure as hell exists, but people need to stop using that as an excuse to do nothing and DO something.

It all starts with your actions. If someone is away from the group, make him feel welcome. Don't let a classmate leave school without making any friends.
