When I'm forced to deal with those kinds of temperatures, I try to mimic those critters (e.g. holding something hot, I do the ol' hot potato juggling), but by the time I'm no longer able to keep contact, the other hand/foot isn't quite fully recovered, soon or later I'm going to drop it or just scream like a little girl (in the case of walking bare-footed on hot floor).
