The scene was turned into an exploitable format in April 2024 after Twitter / X users started to edit the scene into other pieces of media via green screen templates, most notably being part of The Amazing World of Gumball Animation Crossovers trend.

Origin

On April 28th, 2024, X^[1] user @GalSonic uploaded a clip from the 2024 Knuckles TV series showing the main character Knuckles eating a role of Challah bread while while security officers chase a man in the background. The post (shown below) amassed more than 2.5 million views and 13,000 likes in three days.

Spread

The tweet quickly went viral, sparking a series of posts on X in which people edited Knuckles eating clip in other pieces of media. For instance, on April 30th, 2024, X^[2] user @DynamoSuperX used the scene to join the The Amazing World of Gumball Animation Crossovers, which amassed over 222,000 views and 16,000 likes in a day (shown below).

On the same day, X^[3] user @Leo01235 edited Knuckles' scene inside the Five Nights at Freddy's game (shown below), which garnered roughly 488,000 views and 24,000 likes in a day.
