Breakthroughs in AI technology launched a wave of AI-generated art and videos online in 2023, making it easier than ever to spoof people's likenesses and even their voices. When Did Glorb Post His First Video Online?

Glorb first began posting his AI rap songs to TikTok under the handle @glorbworldwide. In early June 2023, he posted a preview for his song "THE FORMULA," performed in the voice of Mr. Krabs from SpongeBob. The next day, he posted the full song along with AI-generated visuals to YouTube.

Set over a dramatic dark style drill beat the song is set to is reminiscent of popular rap artists like Yeat or Carti. Glorb hasn't been very forthcoming about his creative process, but people have theorised that he likely writes and raps the songs himself before using an AI voice modulator to change the vocals to SpongeBob characters.

On June 10th, Glorb posted another video to his YouTube channel called "STD," this time sung by Plankton. The diss track saw Plankton launching verbal rockets against Mr. Krabs, calling his daughter names and bragging about his lean habits.

The Plankton rap video gathered over 8 million views since it was released in June, inspiring Glorb to continue to post new tracks to his YouTube in the following weeks. Some popular releases from this time include "FUN" in the voice of SpongeBob himself, and "KYS," sung by Plankton.

Glorb has chosen to keep his identity secret, but he has been pictured with other YouTubers and creators in the past. In May 2024, YouTube MoistCritical actually interviewed Glorb in the aftermath of the massive fame he accrued from his video "THE BOTTOM 2." The interview prompted many more people to ask, "Who the heck is Glorb?"
