@Water Baby: Not quite. You can still watch it, like it and not be a Brony. The Brony title would be more so when you're interacting with the fandom. My former landlord is a woman who loves MLP:FiM because she watches it with her 3 year old daughter. She however is completely unaware of the fandom (and I kinda want to keep it that way) and therefore cannot be considered a Brony. Just a fan of MLP:FiM. They are plenty in that category alone.
