My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - The Big "Ponies Everywhere" Dilemma...

So it's 2006, and the Soccer World Cup is being held in Germany, and the WHOLE nation is going nuts I, for myself, ain't the least bit interested in soccer, and I don't quite get how someone could actually enjoy watching it.. but it's just f"king everwhere, it's impossible to escape it, everyone's talking about it, and it's getting quite on my nerves. YEARS LATER The reboot of the My Little Pony TV series is a big hit among more-or-less-grown up men and half of the internet including myself) is going nuts over it.... ...while the other half is going all apesh't about it. Non-Bronies don't understand why Bronies watch a "show for little giris", while Bronies don't understand how you can't like the show Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, but Ponies.o. Ponies Everywhere! And then it hit me The often-so-called "haters" are just annoyed by the huge amount of something that they don't understand or just don't enjoy in the same way but that gets constantly thrown at them. If you take the view point of a Non-Brony, their rage is quite understandable. So maybe we shouldn't spread ponies so much all across the internets...? This is quite a dilemma, isn't it? We spread ponies because we enjoy the show and therefore want other people too check it out and enjoy it too but if I get just one out of 10 people to watch and enjoy the show.mission accomplished Be it soccer, ponies, math problems or whatever.. there are things that some people like, and they want to share their enjoyment with other people And there are things that you might not like or just don't care about But don't go to hard on people who shove it into your face...they just want to share their enjoyment and the harder they do it, the more it just shows how much they love it and want to share it with you Just let them be, try to get into it too, or try to ignore it. Don't get upset because of some noisy soccer fans, or a sh'tload of pony images, or that geek and his techno-gibberish, or whatever gets on your nervs. Most of the time, there's no ill intent Stay your cool and try to accept it Your Falthful Student

That’s one type of hater, the most common kind

There’s another kind, much rarer but much more volatile. This second kind legitimately loathes the IP in question. They aren’t ignorant, they don’t lack understanding. They’ve seen the IP, sat through several episodes trying to see if maybe, just maybe it was an acquired taste. But eventually became clear that no, they don’t like it now and they will never like it. They harbor genuine hatred, and the very sight of the IP makes their blood boil. They try to ignore it, just live and let live, but they can’t. They can’t escape it either because it’s too common or just sheer bad luck

They are true haters, beyond the hope of any love, tolerance, friendship, etc.

I know this because I was once one of them, long ago, before I had ever heard of MLP:FiM…
