GamerGate - Results of the GamerGate Political Attitudes Survey

As a conservative, one thing I am genuinely thankful for in this kerfuffle is that seemingly many eyes have been opened to the problems (dangers, even) of labeling individuals/groups with blanket statements.

We're all individuals with differing views, thoughts, opinions, and beliefs after all. Just because I identify as 'conservative' does not mean I cannot find common ground with 'liberals'. Specifically because of 'Gamergate', there is a wide subset of people out there who are now a lot less likely to demonize me as soon as they hear that I identify as 'conservative'.

'Gamergate' proves that is the individual that matters, not identity politics. 'Conservative' does not automatically equal 'warmongering fascist anti-abortion pro-corporate nazi'. 'Liberal' does not automatically equal 'socialist weak pussy know-it-all anti-american communist wanna be douchenozzle'.

Whenever you blanket people and groups, the individual voice gets silenced. For eyes being opened to this, I am eternally thankful.

TL;DR, most GG'rs are anti-authoritarian leftists.
