10 Attempts That Went Very, Very Wrong
These people seemed to have tried their hardest. They thought they were doing something right, but ultimately, they just created something weird and a little disturbing. Our long-held notion of fails has evolved into something more modern: the subreddit /r/therewasanattempt. Here, Redditors post images of things that make them shake their heads, even though the person behind them clearly thought they were doing something. At least, until they saw the awful results they'd mistakenly created, whether through their own stupidity or just a really bad misunderstanding.
Or maybe they just never realized it at all. Perhaps there's no such thing as quality control when it comes to products and services that really should be better thought out. These ten things weren't bad in theory, but in execution, someone used the wrong materials or the power of overthinking to create something that shouldn't exist, but we're glad these things are real, since they're actually hilarious. Take a look at the best times there was an attempt, but nothing good came out of it.
Being Inclusive

It's good to know that anyone can be trash, regardless of their sexuality or gender identity. Inclusivity wins.
DIY Felted Doll

This DIY fail was an attempt at an adorable felted doll, but something went horribly, horribly wrong.
Making a Name for Herself

This is irony in its purest form. If she's making a name for herself, what's her name, anyway? Shouldn't we know it?
Smiley Buns

This incredibly cursed image is the result of someone's awful cooking skills. At least they tried.
Beating a Breathalyzer

Stupidity at its finest. I can't imagine how high the number came up after she did this.
