All of our childhoods looked a little different from one another. Growing up in different places, different families with different family dynamics and overall different experiences. However, there are some universals amongst us. Whether they were things we had in our own homes, in friends' or relatives' homes, seen on T.V. or in stores, certain things unite us all in that bittersweet feeling of nostalgia. Nostalgia is a unique and somewhat unexplainable emotion, giving a sense of both sweet remembrance and the horrible realization that those days and those feelings will never be able to be felt again.

Thinking about it for too long tends to spiral out of control and lead you toward existential dread. We are not alone in these feelings, though. People have come together to gather images and videos of common things from back in the day that create and foster the feeling of nostalgia in many of us. Reddit users have compiled and continue to contribute to /r/nostalgia as a united and collaborative way to relive the simpler days. Here are some of their best new posts.
