The hit game Among Us is a team-based hybrid game where the objective is to either work together with crewmates to complete tasks in various locations or to kill the team without being discovered as the impostor. The game was made back in 2018 but hit a sudden surge in plays back in August of 2020. This hype, like other video game subcultures, quickly spawned a bunch of memes and became an internet culture phenomenon. Like all things, the hype has to die down eventually, but every now and then the spark can be reignited with new memes.
