Advertising does an unreasonably good job of making a product seem really, really good. Especially when it comes to physical marketing. The packaging on frozen dinners and other meals never fails to look like a 4-star gourmet dish you would get from a prestige restaurant. The reality is, though, that they never come out as they appear. For some reason, we still continue to buy them and expect them to be everything and then some. We are all a little naive. There are other disappointments in life that are fuelled by the expectation of them coming out good.
