The Pokémon Company unveiled yet another legendary Pokémon yesterday: Zarude, a Grass/Dark-type monkey who looks like a cross between Passimian and Thwackey.

The short teaser for Zarude gave fans little information and The Pokémon Company offered scant details about how players can catch it, saying only:

It has been reported that Zarude lives in a pack deep in the heart of dense forests. It treats anyone that isn’t part of its pack with immediate hostility, attacking right away. Because of this, other Pokémon that live in the same forest are afraid of Zarude.

Despite the lack of concrete details regarding Zarude, fans were quick to joke about the new legendary, with many noting that its name rhymes with a certain EDM artist.

Others noted that Zarude resembled a popular video game character, someone who, if he transformed into the Pokémon, might yell, "FURSONA."

Theories about how to catch the new Pokémon abound through Twitter, with some theorizing it was a tie-in to an upcoming Pokémon movie.

The new Pokémon anime film will release in Japan on July 10th, and its trailer prominently features Zarude, which may be a clue as to when players may be able to play as this wacky monky fella.
