Taylor Swift Asks Fans To Help Her Fight Her Old Record Label
Last night, Taylor Swift reignited her fight with her former record label after speaking out on her Instagram and Twitter accounts to ask her fans for help in fighting back against Big Machine Records. In her message, Swift stated that Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun were preventing her from performing some of her older music at the American Music Awards on November 24th, where she is set to be honored for Artist of the Decade. In addition, Swift announced that Netflix had been filming her life for the past several years for an upcoming documentary, and that Big Machine Records will not allow her to feature any of her old music catalogue in it.

After Swift tweeted out that she "didn't know what else to do," many celebrities stepped up and quickly took to her defense.
Halsey took to her Instagram account to sing Taylors previous hit "Mean" and called Braun and Borchetta's decision a "punishment."

Selena Gomez also responded in her Instagram stories, stating that Borchetta and Braun's actions were full of "greed, manipulation, and power."

Based on the amount of celebrity attention Swift was receiving, the hashtags #IStandWithTaylor and #FreeTaylor took over Twitter and became the top trending subjects. Friends of Swift, her fans and those just tuning into the story from when it first imploded over the summer, started tweeting in defense of the singer.

Justin Bieber, who is currently represented by Scooter Braun, took his manager's side again via his Instagram story in response to Swift's new claims.

In addition, many people agreed with Bieber and claimed Taylor was merely acting like a victim again.
Taylor Swift is such a perpetual victim…My word!!

Taylor Swift isn’t the ‘poor, innocent female victim’ she’s making herself out to be (also instilling victimhood in her young fans)She’s a powerful woman using her influence to bully & shame men into doing what she wants. She signed a CONTRACT & made a fortune! Oh, choices…

I'm tired of hearing how Taylor swift is a fucking victim. She's not, we can actually show you real victims of the music industry she's not one. She's mad millions and will continue to and earned every penny no doubt with her own damn talent. But she lost a business deal
