It ain't over yet!

TikTokers are a mess of emotions this week. Their beloved lipsyncing and boredom-fighting app may be banned in the United States soon. If this is true, they are certainly going out with a bang. One of the app's most popular stars, Charli D'Amelio, got into a very public Twitter spat with her ex causing TikTok fanatics to stay up all night catching up on all the tea. The not so well-rested teens were then convinced to buy at least $25 of Dogecoin to get rich in an almost impossible way. To top it all off, TikTokers have been posting disturbing medical emergency stories, incomprehensible gibberish with the Accent Challenge and sappy (desperate) farewell TikTok videos.

World War Tea

Early this week World War Tea broke out after Charli D'Amelio tore her ex, Chase Hudson, a new one after he explained that he merely kissed Nessa Barrett while the two weren't dating. After more information came out, Hudson scrambled to write a long list of unfaithful members of the Hype House and the Sway House. Of course, this may be super confusing anyone who isn't age 13 so one Twitter user did us a favor of making a beautiful World War Tea flow chart.

Make It Stop

Juicy storytimes videos have always been popular in the TikTok community but, this week, storytimes have taken a dark turn. Make It Stop Storytimes (for some reason) uses the song "Can't Stop Singing" from the 2013 Disney film Teen Beach Movie to tell a story about a time they had a medical emergency. Stories of mysterious severe illness, surprise surgeries and pregnancies are being reenacted in minute-long videos. Hypochondriacs beware.

Dogecoin

TikTokers are diving into a cryptocurrency that wasn't meant to be dived into. A few TikTokers started the Dogecoin Challenge this week in an attempt to convince views that they could get rich if all TikTokers invested at least $25 dollars in Dogecoin to increase its value to one dollar. Although the trend caused a spike in value initially, it's not looking too good for them now. Dogecoin is down and investors are desperately tweeting at Elon Musk to invest.

Accent Challenge

Not so convinced that TikTokers are losing their minds? Well, take a look at the Accent Challenge. Since the early days of YouTube, people have been sharing videos of themselves reading off random words to show off their accents. Now, TikTokers are making up ridiculous accents to parody the old "Accent Tag" videos. It's actually pretty funny, albeit pretty spastic.

The United States TikTok Ban

The end may be nigh for TikTok. For a teen whose on Summer vacation, this is scary news. State Secretary Mike Pompeo first suggested United States TikTok Ban this week after saying they were "looking at" banning it. We all know Redditors love this but TikTokers are scrambling to save TikTok or create videos to say their goodbyes.
