What Allegations Have 'Alice Hez' And 'Kingani' Made Against 'Imallexx?' The Viral YouTube Controversy Explained

A commentary YouTuber with over 400,000 subscribers, Alex Elmslie, is facing some very troubling allegations of abuse leveled at him by his ex-girlfriend Alice Hez.

Now, the YouTuber, known as Imallexx, is facing another set of accusations after another ex-girlfriend, YouTuber Kingani, released her own story about their purportedly toxic relationship. Here's what you need to know about the controversy and the reactions to it online so far.

What Are The Allegations 'Alice Hez' Made Against YouTuber 'Imallexx?'

On June 15th, 2024, following a string of TikTok videos alluding to an abusive past relationship, content creator Alice Hez posted a link to a Google Drive folder on X containing an 82-page Doc filled with accusations of abuse against her ex-boyfriend, commentary YouTuber Imallexx, aka Alex Elmslie.

The Drive folder and Doc are filled with receipts and alleged evidence of the abuse, which include screenshots of dozens of DMs and texts and recordings of Elmslie purportedly verbally abusing her over video calls.

The document includes disturbing allegations of verbal, emotional and physical abuse by Imallexx, who is shown berating Hez and calling her names in the messages. In one section of the Doc, she describes two instances of physical abuse, including a time when he kicked her in the back as they lived together and a time when he pulled her to the ground by her hoodie.

She also details accounts of Elmslie manipulating her with hollow apologies, breaking her belongings, telling her to end her own life despite her history of depression and calling her the "N-word." If you want the full context, we highly recommend reading through the lengthy document.

Two days after Hez posted her allegations, another content creator, Kingani, posted her own Doc to X detailing a "toxic relationship" she had with Elmslie that took place between June 2017 and March 2018. In her (much shorter) Doc, Kingani describes how Elmslie made her "feel insane" throughout the relationship and how it felt like he "never listened." She details him as self-centered and claims he would threaten to end his own life over small arguments as a tactic to make her stop talking.

She writes that he would "spin his own narrative and twist words" and that he laid his hands on her in an unwanted way once during their time together. Explaining the situation, she claims that he grabbed her arm once as she went to run out of the room during an argument while they were filming a YouTube video together. He then started banging his fist against the table and broke his microphone.

How Has Social Media Reacted To The Abuse Allegations?

The accusations against Imallexx quickly became one of the most-talked-about things on social media in the days following Hez's Doc. Many are denouncing Imallexx, who, at the time of publishing this article, has yet to make any statement regarding the accusations.

Among those disavowing Imallexx are close friends and collaborators, including content creators iNabber, Memeulous and Jake Baz.

There are also reports going around that Elmslie was dropped by his talent agency following the release of the allegations. Numerous commentary videos detailing the accusations have been uploaded to YouTube and Imallexx's name was trending on X in the days following the release of the Doc.

It's unclear how Elmslie will respond to the allegations, or when he might do so.
