What Did 'DogPack404' Expose About MrBeast? The Viral Allegations From The Ex-Employee's Videos Explained
A new exposé video about YouTube superstar MrBeast has dropped, and it's filled with some troubling allegations about the creator and his business.
The high-profile accusations come from an ex-MrBeast employee who goes by DogPack404 on YouTube, and this is the second video he's posted about MrBeast in recent weeks, with a third coming out in the near future.
But what exactly is DogPack404 saying about MrBeast and is any of it true? Here's what you need to know and why the controversy has spawned a slew of memes lately.
Who Is 'Dogpack404' And What Did He Allege Against MrBeast?
DogPack404 is a former MrBeast employee who, allegedly, worked there for around a month. In late July 2024, he posted his first in a series of videos looking to expose MrBeast for faking various parts of his videos, including outcomes, unethically using promises of monetary prizes and giveaways to entice young viewers to subscribe, purportedly running "illegal lotteries" through his giveaways and faking a signature on at least one shirt that he gave away to a viewer.
The video gained millions of views in under a month, although some disputed the claims as being too speculative. This includes a MrBeast employee who goes by Chucky on X / Twitter, who made a post going point-by-point to refute the video.
Despite this, many viewers found serious issues in the accusations made in the video, which seem to hint at a "dark side" to MrBeast's business that is very seldom seen.
In his second video, posted in early August 2024, DogPack404 interviews another former MrBeast employee, a writer named Jake Weddle.
Weddle talks about the trauma he endured after filming an unreleased MrBeast video where he was locked in solitary confinement for 30 days for $10,000 per day. He tapped out in the last week after becoming delirious and exhausted, citing issues with the video like the crew's refusal to ever turn off the lights and making him do an endurance challenge while exhausted.
Notably, Weddle also took issue with MrBeast joking about how Weddle's dad actually went to jail and claims MrBeast only gave him $100,000 despite actually having earned more.
At the end of the video, Weddle claims that MrBeast employed a man known as "Delaware" with a criminal past related to inappropriate conduct with a minor. Many viewers latched onto this as the worst allegation to come forward yet.
How Is Social Media Reacting To The Allegations?
The video gained over 8 million views in a day and inspired strong reactions on social media. Many took DogPack404 and Weddle's side and began criticizing MrBeast over the accusations. Some people began searching for the identity of Delaware and allegedly found it, revealing the extent of his alleged crime.
With so much focus on Delaware, another ex-employee of MrBeast named Jake the Viking posted a statement on X / Twitter revealing that Delaware is his brother-in-law. Further, he claims that Delaware was hired before him, that he was accused of his crime at 21, took a plea deal, did no jail time and that the charge will be dropped in fall 2024. Jake believes that Delaware is innocent.
The third video, which is rumored to cover alleged instances of sexual misconduct and other accusations, is supposedly going to drop from DogPack404 in the coming weeks. As for now, the internet seems fairly mixed on what this will ultimately result in, so we'll just have to wait and see what the next exposé video contains and how people react to it.
